Elk Season in Estes Park: A Visit to Remember
One of the wonderful things about Estes Park in the fall is that you never know where you might encounter an elk!
During our visit last week, we enjoyed seeing elk throughout town, reminding us why autumn is such a special time to visit the Rockies. Whether grazing in open fields, wandering through neighborhoods, or simply relaxing on a patch of grass, these magnificent animals seem perfectly at home in Estes Park.
One of our favorite sightings was especially close to home—an elk right in the yard! It's not every day you get to look outside and find such an impressive visitor.
Fall is a magical time in Estes Park. The crisp mountain air, beautiful scenery, quieter pace, and abundant wildlife make it one of our favorite seasons.
If you're planning a fall getaway, don't forget your camera. You never know who might stop by for a visit!
And remember, while elk may appear relaxed and accustomed to people, they're wild animals and should always be admired from a safe distance.
