The cabin is situated with incredible views of Lake Estes in addition to views of Long’s Peak (14’000’+), Twin Sisters and the continental divide itself. The view of the lake with the backdrop of the mountains is truly stunning.
Lake Estes is located just east of downtown Estes Park and is approximately 185 acres. It is one of the few lakes in Estes Park Valley and Rocky Mountain National Park that allows recreational boating. Our home is just a 5-minute walk along the lake to Lake Estes Marina where you can rent kayaks, paddleboards or a pontoon boat. The lake is also excellent for fishing and is stocked by the Colorado Department of Wildlife with Rainbow Trout. Fishing is just a few steps away There is a paved walking path the completely surrounds the lake.

At its heart, our cabin is a hand-hewn log home providing a warm and relaxed atmosphere that has been completely remodeled and updated to provide a modern and luxurious feel. The main living area has an open design incredible views of the lake and mountains. There are double sliding doors that open to the top deck area that can be opened to give guests the feeling of being outdoors. It is a great place to relax and enjoy the modern gas fireplace. There is a professional kitchen with all the modern amenities.
Outdoor Spaces!
The cabin is designed to have multiple spaces to relax and enjoy both inside and outside. In addition to the large deck overlooking the lake, the home has three outdoor sitting areas. The largest outdoor sitting area also overlooks the lake and has a gas firepit and is surrounded by large stone landscaping to provide a rustic but comfortable feel. Another of the outdoor sitting areas has a 7-person hot tub that can be enjoyed all four seasons.
Bedrooms and Bathrooms Setup
The home has 4 separate bedrooms, each with king sized bed. There are 4 and ½ baths allowing for plenty of privacy. The bedrooms are all uniquely decorated with custom-built beds made from reclaimed lumber and additional furniture to allow guests to retreat to their private spaces if so desired. Baths all have modern designs with tile showers.
Master Bedroom
The master bedroom has a large open design with a king sized bed, sitting area, desk and a separate heating and cooling system. It also has double slider doors with a French Balcony facing the lake for great views of the lake. The remote control blinds allow you to sit the bed in the evening with views of the lake with ability to close the blinds without getting up! There also a small second balcony in addition to a walk-in closet. The master bath has a large rain shower and heated floors.
The Moose Room
The Moose Room is on the main floor of the home. The hand-hewn logs and moose antlers give the room a true mountain feel. There is also a modern bathroom off of this bedroom with tub and shower and a vanity with concrete countertop.
The Elk Room
The Elk Room is located on the top floor of the home and is truly a unique bedroom with open wooden rafters, a sitting area and a large elk rack over the king sized bed. There is also a modern bath with a unique design that integrated the timber cabin structure. There is a large window that provides views of the lake and a curtain for privacy.
The “Moo” Room
The downstairs bedroom, affectionately named the “moo” room with bovine decor has a king sized bed, polished concrete floors and a double-sliding door giving direct access to a outside sitting area and the gas firepit. There is also a full bathroom on this floor with a large walk-in shower.
The Layout – Lake Estes Retreat has an open and inviting layout with three floors with one bedroom on the lower level, two bedrooms on the main level and one bedroom on the upper level.
